Wolves in Lachapelle-sous-Rougemont in the Territoire de Belfort?

Approach assured in the night, in the middle of the street in Lachapelle-sous-Rougemont and without the slightest fear, two big gray canids stroll through this terrifortain village.

Not frightened by the car passing right next to them, the animals stare at the camera of the passenger who films them, captivated. But are they really wolves or their wolf-dog cousins?

Wolf alert… or not

The appearance of these two beasts did not, however, make much noise. Even the mayor of the village, Eric Parrot, did not hear of their passage.

Identified for us by the breeding of Lepuix La Légende du Loup Noir, the two animals would be Czechoslovakian wolfdogs. These canids, at least 60 centimeters tall, are the result of the crossing of a wolf and a German shepherd, which makes them really look like wild wolves.

A dog lost since yesterday

One of the two doggies might even be a lost dog. An announcement appeared on the Internet on Wednesday to report the disappearance of Hanka, a wolfdog from Saarlooswho lives …. in Lachapelle-sous-Rougemont.

It also happens that a few dogs run away from their kennel from time to time and wander in the Territoire de Belfort

If for the moment, the mystery of the origin of these two beasts persists, one thing is certain: Lachapelle-sous-Rougemont is not the new vacation spot for wolves.
