Two Aston Villa supporters injured in a fight after the friendly against Rennes

West France reveals that a fight between supporters broke out this Saturday evening near Roazhon Park, a few hours after the friendly match won by Aston Villa on the lawn of Stade Rennais (2-1). Two English supporters were reportedly slightly injured following an assault they suffered around 10 p.m., an hour after the final whistle, while they were in a bar near the stadium.

According to the local daily, the scuffle was caused by several members of the RCK, the Roazhon Celtic Kop, which is a group of ultras from Rennes. At the end of it, two English fans suffering from minor injuries were taken to hospital. They came out this Sunday with stitches for one and back pain for the other.

For now, the police have not yet arrested the attackers, the latter having fled.
