The future of Alassane Plea could become clearer in the next few hours but for the moment, the situation of the French striker remains blocked. At the end of the contract in a year, the ex-Lyonnais is retained by Borussia Mönchengladbach, despite several refusals to extend the contract.
The German club are insensitive to recent approaches from Premier League clubs. The latest, Everton, is ready to offer around €10m to buy out the player’s lease. The latter’s file is also closely followed by Nice, but the Gym has not been translated into a concrete offer. The door remains in any case double-locked for Gladbach, who does not need money, nor found a solution to replace Plea. In this context, the German club could offer the 29-year-old a new contract extension, for a period of three years and reassessed.
