The National Veterinary School of Toulouse breeds its own puppies for an unprecedented research project

They are called Turenne, Toulouse, Toulousette or even Tarascon and are the subject of all the attention of the teachers and students of the National Veterinary School of Toulouse (ENVT). Since June, fourteen golden retriever puppies, born from three different litters within the ENVT, have been at the heart of a unique university project in France called “Toulouse Gold Cohort” (available on the website of the ENVT), supported by the Neocare research unit of ENVT and the Visio foundation. These adorable furballs are thus pampered but also scrutinized by the sixty students who will follow them until they are 18 months old. An educational project that allows future veterinarians to be confronted with issues related to birth, reproduction and education.
