Controls at the “three key ages of life”. François Braun, Minister of Health, announces in the Sunday newspaper that free medical consultations will soon be offered to French people aged 25, 45 and 65.

“We are entering the era of prevention” with this measure which will be incorporated into the next social security financing bill, explains the minister, who insists: “We are going to take better care of the children, who will benefit from 20 examinations up to 16 years old, but also follow these generations during their lifetime”.

At 25, “taking stock of vaccines”

For adults aged 25, it will be a question of “taking stock of vaccines, their physical activity, possible addictions or difficulties linked to the start of professional life”. They will also be alerted to “the need to have a doctor and the cardiovascular risk”.

At 45, the consultation will be activated on “the need to participate in screening for breast, colon or prostate cancer” and will allow “an assessment of physical activity and possible mental health disorders” .
