the master judged in immediate comparison

Although he was checked at the end of last year, the owner of the 53 canines did not restore the situation. The doggies were therefore rescued and referred to the SPA. Their master, meanwhile, received a suspended prison sentence.

On Wednesday September 21, 2022, the gendarmerie and the veterinary services of the departmental population directorate moved to a property located in Beaumont sur LezeSouth of Toulouse (Upper Garonne).

Today’s mission was to seize 53 dogs alive in desolate conditions.

Upon their arrival, the agents could only see the hell suffered by the poor animals. 21 doggies were confined to 3 outdoor enclosures in full sun when 2 were chained near a makeshift doghouse.

Similarly, they discovered 6 canids locked in a truck, 6 others in a prefabricated module and then another 6 specimens scattered in 2 caravans.

Finally, 12 doggies were free on the ground, including 7 puppies.

All these little people were taken to safety in refuges in the SPA where they are pampered today. They receive care before being offered for adoption.

Suspended prison sentence for negligence

The owner had been checked at the end of 2021 following a report. He then received a formal notice urging him to reduce the number of canines in his possession to a maximum of 9.

However, despite a year gone by, neither the quantity of dogs nor the living conditions had changed.

The offender was therefore arrested and then placed in police custody for abandonment and lack of care resulting in unnecessary suffering, report CentrePresse.fr.
