The mayor demanded it with force for the security of the town: the dangerous dogs, at the origin of several attacks since June in Noyen-sur-Sarthe, were euthanized this Tuesday in Le Mans. The chosen one, joined by France Bleu Maine, confides his “relaxation“. According to him, out of fear, “some people avoided leaving her house“.
Five dog attacks in three months
In all, five dogs of the “American bully” breed (a cross between the “Staffordshire Terrier” and the “Pitt Bull”) were euthanized: the three who violently attacked a young girl and the man who tried to rescue her on August 20 in the town center, as well as two other dogs belonging to the same person. “These dogs attacked residents four times and once donkeys“, recalls Jean-Louis Morice.
A lawsuit for the owner of the animals
The owner of the dog, a resident recently settled in Noyen-sur-Sarthe, was summoned this Monday before the court of Le Mans in immediate comparison. He asked – as he has the right – for a delay to prepare his defence. His trial is therefore postponed to a later date.
Keep your dog on a leash
The mayor of Noyen-sur-Sarthe plans to make it compulsory to keep dogs on a leash in certain places in the town. The subject will be put on the agenda of the next municipal council on October 20.
