Naples still leading after victory against AS Roma

On Sunday, an obstacle stood in the way of Napoli without incident in the Championship. AS Roma received the leader after 3 wins in a row. The epilogue of the 11th day delivered a balanced and contested match. José Mourinho’s men however bent at the end of the match against Naples (1-0), which therefore remains in vain.

The first act of the match was intense on both sides, but the chances proved extremely rare. The only packaging came shortly before half-time, when Tanguy Ndombele could have obtained a penalty following his duel with Rui Patricio (37th), before the VAR and referee Massimiliano Irrati decided otherwise.

Chris Smalling had made several decisive interventions (53rd, 61st), but the English defender never gave in to Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian striker won on the right side in front of the Roman before beating Rui Patricio from a tight angle (80th).

Thanks to this 9th victory of the season in Serie A, Luciano Spalletti and his players remain leaders and are 3 points ahead of AC Milan. AS Roma completes the top 5.
