After the first three free practice sessions of the MotoGP British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Aleix Espargaro, Jorge Martin, Jack Miller, Johann Zarco, Maverick Vinales, Fabio Quartararo, Francesco Bagnaia, Joan Mir, Luca Marini and Alex Rins definitely pre-qualified for Q2.
With the first four in less than a tenth of a second, qualifying promises to be intense as Enea Bastianini and Marco Bezzecchi Just recovered in Q1 to participate in this 15-minute session which will determine the positions on the first four rows of the starting grid.
The big question mark obviously concerns Aleix Espargaro, victim of a spectacular highside in FP4 but declared fit after his visit to the medical center. The obviously diminished Aprilia rider who was the fastest this weekend will try to defend his chances in qualifying…

When the red lights go out… Fabio Quartararo surprises everyone by starting first!
In the first flying lap, The Diablo is monitored remotely by Luca Marini and relax his effort.
jorge martin scored the first reference in 1’58.377 ahead of Johann Zarco, Maverick Vinales, Francesco Bagnaia, Marco Bezzecchi and Enea Bastianini.
In the aftermath, Fabio Quartararo took command in 1’58.259 before Jack Miller is positioned at 1/1000 of the French pilot.
After this first race, Aleix Espargaro is unfortunately last, 1.6 seconds behind the Yamaha rider who precedes Jack Miller, Maverick Vinales, Jorge Martin, Johann Zarco, Alex Rins, Francesco bagnaia, Luca Marini, Joan Mir, Marco Bezzecchi, Enea Bastianini and therefore Aleix Espargaro.
On recovery, Aleix Espargaro arouse everyone’s admiration by lighting the first two sectors in red, then the third, before seizing the provisional pole position in 1’57.966 new absolute record of the circuit! We can talk about heroes!
