Marseille: the “boa” seen in a park is ultimately only a grass snake

Fright in Marseille! Following the report of a walker, the City informed its inhabitants this Sunday morning that a boa constrictor had been seen in the 2nd basin of Parc Pastré, (8th arrondissement) on the equestrian center side. The municipal teams as well as the marine firefighters therefore immediately went to the site in search of the snake.

But this afternoon, the firefighters were able to identify the animal, via the photos taken by the witness. It would actually be a grass snake “evolving in its natural environment”, they indicated to the Parisian around 4 p.m., specifying that “the animal does not represent a danger for walkers, as long as it is not disturbed”. More fear than harm.
