Japan: The reopening of its borders is coming!

It was one of the last countries in the world to close its borders to tourists after the Covid-19 pandemic. On October 11, 2022, Japan will finally welcome visitors from all over the world again! Digital Minister Taro Kono announced the news on Twitter, before Prime Minister Fumio Kishide confirmed the reopening in a speech in New York later that evening.
