Snoring is improved by the vibration of the tissues of the throat or pharynx, when the passage of air is obstructed. These can be unpleasant and disrupt your nights and those of those around you. Fortunately, natural remedies can help you sleep soundly.
sleep on the side
This trick is probably the best known. Snoring is accentuated when you sleep on your back. The language positioned too far back in the mouth, blocking the passage of air. The airways are thus compressed. Sleeping on your side reduces snoring. To avoid turning over during the night, there is a radical trick. You can sew a tennis ball on the back of your pajamas. This will prevent you from tossing and turning while you sleep.
When you gain weight, the throat diameter tightens and compresses the respiratory tracts. So, by losing weight, you will snore less.
Drink olive oil
The latter softens the tissues of the respiratory tract, thus promoting the passage of air. Before going to bed, drink 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil.
Clear your nose
If your snoring is occasional, it may be related to congestion of the nasal passages. This is what drives you to breathe through your mouth. To decongest your nose, you can turn to seawater sprays or take a hot shower, which will unclog your nostrils.
Avoid alcohol and heavy meals
Alcohol relaxes the throat muscles excessively. This is why it is necessary to avoid consuming it two hours before going to bed. Overloaded meals have the same effect and dairy products thicken the airways during digestion: they therefore boost snoring. Finally, hydrate yourself well throughout the day, so as not to dry out the nasal parishes and the palate.
Sleep on a pillow
This will also reduce snoring. By focusing the head, breathing is facilitated and this also avoids the relaxation of the tissues of the pharynx.
