Covid-19 badges given to the many volunteers who spared no effort to help the Cross carry out its missions during the health crisis.
The local unit of the French Red Cross in Bagnols-sur-Cèze organized a ceremony of distinction for its volunteers to highlight their unwavering commitment during the COVID-19 crisis of 2020 and 2021.
Also this Friday, June 17, Bagnolais volunteers found themselves alongside Viviane Hauss, president of the local unit. The Bagnole showcase of the charity organization welcomes the involvement of its volunteers, whose commitment has not failed even at the height of the health crisis.
The strong mobilization of the small hands of the Bagnols-sur-Cèze branch can be measured through eloquent figures, ie 800 hours of volunteering. President Viviane Hauss complimented before handing over the Covid-2019 badges. The distinction comes to reward the investment of those who have shown volunteering. “We were thus able to continue our missions with public beneficiaries” emphasizes the president of the local unit.
As a reminder, the activity of the French Red Cross consists of providing Covid-19 screening and vaccination, offering a solidarity shopping service, running a listening and psychological support unit, strengthening the regulation of Samu 30, the evacuation of resuscitated patients between the Grand Est region and Occitania and the fight against social exclusion thanks to the Mona-Liza device.
For Jean-Yves Chapelet, Mayor of Bagnols-sur-Cèze, “We recognize our friends when we are in difficulty, and whenever I have needed, the Red Cross of Bagnols-sur-Cèze has always responded and for that I wanted to develop to ask you.”
At the end of this ceremony, Georges Labonne, representative, Jean-Jacques Eledjam, National President of the French Red Cross from 2013 to 2021, having wished to honor the Local Unit of Bagnols-sur-Cèze for the significant mobilization of its elected officials, and its volunteers in the departmental actions implemented during the Covid-19 health crisis.
