In a tweet posted on social networks, Kylian Mbappé took over Noël Le Graët, this Sunday, on his desire to stop the France team after the elimination of the Blues in the round of 16 against Switzerland at the Euro.
Just a clarification. Kylian Mbappé took over, this Sunday, Noël Le Graët concerning his supposed desire to no longer play for the France team after his missed penalty and the premature elimination of the Blues in the knockout stages of the Euro against Switzerland. The tricolor striker made it clear that he wanted to stop the selection it was not because of his failure during the penalty shootout and the criticism that followed, but of racist messages of which he was the subject .
“I explained to him above all that it was in relation to racism and not to the penalty. But he considered that there had been no racism…”, lamented on his Twitter account Kylian Mbappé, who regretted to not having been supported and defended by the French Football Federation in this case.
Yes finally I explained to him above all well that it was in relation to racism and NO to the penalty.
But he considered that there had been no racism… https://t.co/wZ1nQfb4l4

In an interview with the JDD, the president of the FFF had indicated that the PSG player no longer wanted to play for the France team, without referring to the racist messages of which the 2018 world champion was the target. “He discovered that the Federation had not defended him after his criminal sanction and the criticism on the networks”, indicated Noël Le Graët, who had received Kylian Mbappé in his office.
And to add: “He was angry, he no longer wanted to play for the France team – which he obviously did not understand. (…) He is a winner, he was very frustrated, like all of us, by the elimination… He is so publicized. He’s a great guy, much more collective than you think.
Despite these latest compliments, this remote exchange should a little more damage the relationship between the two men, already somewhat tense due to issues related to image rights in the France team.
