Fabio Quartararo falls on entry to the Aragon GP

Big blow for Fabio Quartararo in the race for the World Championship. The Frenchman had a nightmare start to the race when he crashed on the first lap of the Aragon Grand Prix after contact with Marc Marquez. He was forced to quit.

Marc Marquez, who was returning to the track this weekend after a long arm injury, lost the rear of his bike and thus caused the crash of the Niçois who was right behind him. The Spaniard also threw in the towel a few minutes later.

Fabio Quartararo then appeared with burns to his chest and winced in pain as he returned to his stand.

This race incident could have big consequences in the general classification because a victory for Francesco Bagnaia would see the Italian come back to within five points of Quartararo. The Japanese GP will be held next Sunday.
