Exercising with your dog

Canicross and velocross: to exercise

The principle
Jog or cycle with Médor by holding it with a leash and a belt (canicross or a clip (bicycle). Ideal for exercising and working on your endurance.

This is for you if…
You are physically fit and your dog obeys you.

Where to practice?
Wherever dogs are allowed. Avoid biking in an area where there is traffic.

The price
Minimum €30 for equipment, plus a membership fee if you join a club.

The obé-rythmée: to have a good time

The principle
The obé-rythmée is the contraction of “rhythmic obedience”. This canine education on a musical background consists of performing a choreography with your dog. A good way to spend gently.

This is for you if…
You have an artistic soul and if you like to dance. And if you want to develop your pooch’s attention.

Where to practice?
To start, it is best to register in a canine center (more info here). Once run in, you can practice without a guide wherever you want.

The price
Count 70 € for an initiation stage.

The doga: to be relaxed

The principle
Practice yoga movements in harmony with your animal. The doga is an excellent way to educate your dog by teaching him to repeat the movements performed in front of him.

This is for you if…
You like to innovate, and if your zen attitude pushes you to be patient with your animal.

Where to practice?
The doga is very widespread in the United States, much less in France. There is only one grooming salon, in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, offering lessons (€40 per session). However, there are a large number of videos on the Internet that could inspire you for a home session.

The price
None, unless you invest in a train ticket to the Basque Country or a plane ticket to the States.
