According to this research, eating a handful of nuts a day could prevent you from getting sick. This would protect you from many risks.
Scientists at the University of Minnesota, in charge of this study, discovered the miraculous potential benefits of walnuts after monitoring the diets of 3,300 people for more than 25 years and giving them several health checks. The results showed that in addition to reducing blood pressure, eating would also reduce weight gain and, therefore, the risk of diabetes and heart disease.

Results that need to be confirmed
As noted by scientists, such benefits could be linked to the omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid found in walnuts. But also to all the other nutrients they contain, including protein, fiber and magnesium, which contain heart health.
For So-Yun Yi, a doctoral student in public health, this study supports claims that ask nuts do “part of a healthy diet”. However, these results are observations and clinical trials should be conducted to support and confirm them.
