Fanned by a strong wind, the fire resumed this Saturday in the Arrée mountains, in the center of Finistère. More than 1,700 hectares of vegetation have burned since July 18 in these fields and this very special land which is home to “a biodiversity of very great value”, according to Bretagne Vivante.

At midday, at least four fire starts were observed, in particular in the municipalities of Brennilis and Brasparts, according to the Telegram.

From the International Space Station, we can only see the resumption of fires.

According to Ouest-France, there was a start of fire in the early afternoon, including one at a place called Ploénez, near Coat-Mocun, in Huelgoat, about 24 kilometers from Brasparts. “The situation is under control”, according to the Finistère prefecture, while the department has been placed on “enhanced drought alert”.
