The AACCC17 was created in 2009. It took its first steps on the land of a private individual in Saint-Sauveur-d’Aunis. Before the association was graciously welcomed in 2015 by the municipality of Charron, on its campsite devastated five years by the storm Xynthia. “Our association now has 80 members,” explains President Myriam Chatenay. Different disciplines are practiced at AACCC17, ranging from agility to flyball, obedience and herding. Regarding the latter, “we have had requests concerning shepherd dogs”, continues the president of the association.
But this Sunday, it will be about agility, on a course which can count up to 22 apparatus. “It will be the referee of the place of Landes Annette Coumes-Gertsch who will define the route before the start of the event”, confides Myriam Chatenay. The dog-handler pairs make two visits, a first in the morning, then a second in the afternoon. With the objective in this type of test open to all dog breeds to make as few mistakes as possible.
